Project Description

Our teaching volunteers have the opportunity to give lessons alongside local teachers, other volunteers and work independently. Our teaching program aims to provide sustainable educational support within disadvantaged schools and communities to reduce inequality in education.

Through our volunteers, we aim to empower underprivileged students by improving their future prospects and equipping them with the skills needed to actively engage in a multi-national community


The main role is to be a classroom assistant, although some volunteers choose to teach their own class. The children study various subjects including Physical Education (Coaching), ICT, Science, English etc.

Project Availability: Jan-April, May-July, Sep-Dec.

A Typical Day as a Teaching Volunteer

Generally, school starts at 8:00am, students’ teachers and volunteers gather at assembly group for morning devotion and announcement. This is also time for inspection of students to ensure that all observe COVID-19 protocols.

Mornings are usually devoted for Math’s English and Science lessons. Children go for break at 10:00am. At this time children usually engaged playing games.

At 12pm you will get a break for lunch. You will be served with lunch by the school too. In the afternoon you will be taking additional classes and games time follow after that.

You will generally finish your placement at 3pm
